Is it just us, or is Inspector Montalbano proving absolutely timeless?

The first films were produced in 1999 and we now issue two brand new films in 2018. What shall we do to celebrate the 21^styear?

Speaking of numbers, in case you are not counting, these are films # 31 and # 32. Thanks to a remarkable continuity in the creators and the actors in this series, we fans can always rely on the films to satisfy, and on occasion to tantalise.

The first of the films within, AMORE, weaves three tales in one – a trademark of the Andrea Camilleri story-telling style. The second, THE MERRY GO ROUND treads a similar theme of cross-cutting narratives that unwind with great precision.
