Like Crazy dominates "Italian Oscars"

We've been saying for some time that Paolo Virzì gets better and better with every film. And if the performance of Like Crazy at this year's Nastri d'Argento awards is anything to go by, we are not the only ones who hold that view.

Considered by many as the Italian Oscars, the Nastri d'Argento Awards is the biggest night in Italian films. This year, against stiff competition, Virzì and the cast and crew of Like Crazy dominated the awards, taking home Best Director, Best Screenplay (for Virzì and Francesca Archibugi), Best Lead Actress (for both female leads, Valeria Bruni Tedeschi and Micaela Ramazzotti), Best Costumes and Best Soundtrack.

It's been a few years now since an Italian film won the Best Foreign Language Film at the Oscars (Paolo Sorrentino's The Great Beauty in 2014).

Our fingers are crossed for another one very soon.
