It is a year since Anne Visage lost the presidential elections and the current President, Alain Marjorie, faces two disasters: one personal and one political.

His delicate and unpredictable wife, Elizabeth, has a car accident. The passenger, her lover, is killed instantly. Benoit Hussan, the Prime Minister, and a friend of the couple cover up the accident, but he is then himself caught up in a political and financial scandal and is forced to resign.

In the political crisis that follows, President Marjorie calls on the services of Simon Kapita, the “man in the shadows” from season one.

Kapita has not only to deal with the media but also to divert the manoeuvres by the Opposition to destabilise the government. His strategic skills are put to the test, especially as a new scandal threatens to erupt…
