EO

With his first film in seven years, legendary 84-year-old director Jerzy Skolimowski returns with the Cannes Jury Prize winning new film, EO. The most visually inventive film of his long and illustrious career, EO has wowed critics and audiences worldwide. The most honoured international film of 2022, EO has the rare honour of winning the prestigious Critics Trifecta. Winning Best International Film by the National Society of Film Critics, New York Film Critics Association, and the Los Angeles Film Critics Association. In January 2023, EO earned an Oscar nomination for Best International Film.

Following the travels of a curious gray Sardinian donkey named EO across the Polish and Italian countryside, EO experiences the highs and lows of society, all the while never losing his innocence. During his travels, EO is both helped and hindered by the people he meets including a young Italian priest (Lorenzo Zurzolo), a Countess (Isabelle Huppert), and a rowdy Polish soccer team that adopts him as their mascot.

With award winning visuals including a cinema first, ‘donkey vision', master filmmaker Jerzy Skolimowski invites the audience to see the world through the eyes of its four-legged protagonist, exploring the good and bad of humanity through EO’s distinctive non-human perspective. One of the most critical and commercially adored films of Skolimowski’s career, the 84-year-old director’s latest film is a significant and unique cinematic experience that demands to be seen.
